AirAsia wins Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline at World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019

On October 13, Saturday, AirAsia has reached another huge milestone by bagging honors at the World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019 for the seventh year in a row. Recently, the low-cost budget airline has opened their 2000-square meter RedPoint office in NAIA, which is also a celebration of their previous recognitions in various award-giving bodies.

AirAsia topped against regional players such as Scoot, Jetstar, SpiceJet, Nok Air and Firefly to win the top low-cost carrier awards, Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline, and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew.

The ceremony which was held at the Vinpearl Convention Centre in Phu Quoc, Vietnam was attended by industry representatives and key figures across the regions. The awards were accepted by AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat, and said, “It is an honor to receive these awards. Being recognized by guests and industry colleagues as Asia’s best is a testament to our ongoing efforts to develop new and innovative guest-obsessed products and services. We would like to thank our Allstars, especially our award-winning cabin crew, for their hard work and commitment to delivering and providing the best experience for our guests.”

After giving the award to AirAsia, World Travel Awards Founder Graham E Cooke shares that the airline continues to set the benchmark for low-cost aviation in Asia and beyond. Its dedication to improving its services remains unrivaled and that they are delighted that it has been acknowledged by both the travel trade and the public having been voted ‘Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline 2019’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew 2019’.”

Included in the Oceania 2019 list is City of Dreams Manila as Asia’s Leading Casino Resort 2019, the El Nido Resorts for Asia’s Responsible Tourism Award 2019, and an award for our country for winning as Asia’s Leading Dive Destination 2019.
