Here is an account of my two-night stay there explaining 5 more reasons why you should book an overnight stay or two, like I did, to avail of their exclusive promo rates until the last day of 2015:
Big Hotel in Mandaue City
1. BIG in accessibility
Surrounded by Parkmall, Cebu International Convention Center and City Times Square, everything you’ll ever need is just a few steps away be it commercial establishments (24-hour banking and restaurants), recreation and entertainment centers (HiFi Karaoke, LaserBlitz and MO2), universities and hospitals (CDU, UCMed and Chong Hua) providing the most convenience to both leisure and business travelers.
Nearby establishments
Parkmall has an SM grocery store and tons of available necessities. City Times Square houses LIV, Cebu’s hottest nightclub and a 24-hour 7-Eleven amongst other stores. If you’re planning on going to Malapascua or Bantayan, the hotel is highly accessible to the North Bus Terminal. Moreover, BIG Hotel Mandaue (check rates) is approximately 20 minutes by car from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, 10-minutes from the seaport and 30 minutes to some famous tourist destinations of Cebu City.
2. BIG in service
I tried their room service (with service charge) and they actually delivered with their 20-minute promise. Despite my constant inquiries during odd hours with front desk, they were still eager to meet my needs.
Ordered room service
Even when I was dining alone at their restaurant (they have a piano player by the way), Ganni engaged me in small talk which led to a very interesting conversation which I posted on my personal blog. Their check-in and check-out was quick and hassle-free. Everywhere I walk within the building, I am always greeted with a smile.

The only setback I had was when requesting for the taxi service during check-out wherein the doorman just let another guest ride the taxi I’ve personally requested and waited for quite a long time.
3. BIG in space and comfort
A total of 148 rooms ranging from standard, family, executive, suite and penthouse lofts, I was able to stay at the executive room and also the family room.

The executive room and any other room was simple yet functional. You can still smell the scent of newness. Laughs. I so love my personal balcony as it gave me a wonderful view of Mandaue City.
View from my room
It was also very spacious. You could actually host a cocktail party with your closest friends. Laughs. Their WIFI was excellent paired with my own personal creative space that I was able to accomplish my deliverables on time.

Function Halls and Veranda at the second level
They also cater to BIG events with their spacious and versatile function halls on the second level.
Spirit selection and outdoor area
For a night cap, try drinking some cocktails at their garden veranda also located on the second level.
4. BIG in creativity
The only hotel with a public art gallery I think is located at their main lobby by local artist John Dinglasa. They also feature a new local artist monthly.

They also use the space to temporarily conduct private meetings with clients. When you enter the building, you’ll stand in awe with the towering assemblage on your right decorated with interesting classic items and souvenirs brought by the designer’s travels around the world.
Upon entering
Wait until night time and you’ll see how the chandelier’s illumination captivates the guests. The intricate interiors are industrially inspired with see through ceilings, steel pipes and metal fixtures.
5. BIG in value
With all the BIG plus factors I have discussed above, you can actually stay for as low as 1,180 per night with free breakfast! Imagine that.

Their breakfast was okay for a 200-peso buffet. I really enjoyed their bread pudding! What I loved most was their all-day French and International cuisine dining.

Medaillon of Duxelle Crusted Fillet of Beef Tenderloin
BG Restaurant Menu
A must-try is their Medaillon of Duxelle Crusted Fillet of Beef Tenderloin (Php390). Excuse my French! Laughs. Inviting at the first look, the beef is also very tender with five varying flavors that keeps your palate guessing. They also have Singaporean Chili Crabs at (Php 295) which I haven’t tried yet, hopefully next time.
BG Cafe and Desserts
Also, try their quick treats for an afternoon munch. Their Holsin Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches (Php 190) were really filling. End the day sweet with their cakes of the day with offerings such as Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheesecake at Php 125 each. Gulp it all down with their Guyabano Shake at Php 125.
The King of Sinulog at Big Hotel
Overall, my two-night experience was really commendable despite the ‘soft opening’. I really enjoyed my staycation and I would recommend you to be another satisfied guest like me. Later!
