5 Must Try Food at El Chupacabra in Makati City

An El Chupacabra is a legendary creature that can be likened to a vampire. It sucks blood—but only from the goats. And it’s also a famous food joint in Makati. I know! It sounds a bit weird for a restaurant name, but food here in El Chupacabra is one of a kind… but don’t worry, they don’t serve goat blood here! They serve authentic American-Mexican street tacos, various styles of barbeque, and they’re also known for their very cheap beer (prices start at Php35)—therefore attracting both the locals,  the expats, and backpackers from different parts of the world. There’s also free shots for everyone every time the bell rings!

This one’s chicken wings Chupacabra style. It’s so hot—and freshly cooked—it’s going to send you flying, and it’s perfect with a cold bottle of beer. You may squeeze some calamansi on this, but make sure to not overdo it, otherwise it’ll dampen the spice.

El Chupacabra is located along Felipe Street, Makati. Its grills start cooking at 11 AM to 12 midnight from Sundays to Wednesdays, and at 11 AM to 3 AM on Thursdays to Saturdays. The staff doesn’t accept reservations, so do come on time.
