Davao City has a lot to offer and whether you are heading there for business or to enjoy the Eden Nature Park, the Crocodile Park, or to explore beautiful Samal Island, you will probably need to find a great place to stay. Those heading to Davao in Mindanao have a fair number of accommodation options to choose from but for me, these are the top five hotels on my list.
Ritz Garden Hotel at Garden Oasis

This property, as you would expect of a Ritz Hotel, a very comfortable and luxurious place to stay. Set away from the hustle of Davao City you will get a great nights sleep and enjoy fantastic food prepared by the hotel chefs. It’s a Ritz though and you will have to pay for the enjoyment. Recommended especially for those on expense accounts!
Hotel Tropika

This hotel is another favorite among business travelers. Big comfy beds and plenty of space in the rooms makes this a great place to relax after a day of meetings and business. The staff is attentive and polite. Here’s one thing though- if you need the internet in your room ask to be put near the routers because the wi-fi signal is weak.
Marco Polo Hotel Davao

This highly rated hotel offers great views of the volcano on the north side so be sure to request your room be located there. The pool, rooms, and amenities are up to the high standards of the Marco Polo brand and you won’t be disappointed with the three in-house restaurants. Microtel Inn and Suites Davao

Microtel Hotel Davao offers a very affordable rate and great location for those who are more interested in being able to see some sights, experience the local culture, and enjoy some of Davao. Great staff, clean rooms, and not a budget buster.
Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao

This Beachfront hotel is another great option for those who sort of want to escape from it all while enjoying everything that the Davao Peninsula has to offer.
