Camarines Sur Water-sports Complex (CWC) is at it again! Governor Lray Villafuerte and the Asian Wakeboard Association brings you the 2nd Asian Wakeboarding Championship to be held on October 30 to November 01 2009.
Camsur, Philippines is the third stop of Asian Wake Park Tour’s (AWPT) three-destination tournament. Singapore and Thailand have recently concluded their AWPT event and now it’s CWC’s shot to claim the spotlight.
This is CWC’s second time to host the said competition and the fourth to stage an international wake park event which further establishes Cam Sur’s reputation of housing world-class facilities for extreme water-sports enthusiasts and followers.
This year, wake-sports prodigies from all over Asia will again compete head to head in a three day event that will showcase balance, strength, style and innovation. Approximately 10,000 USD will be given to triumphant riders who will win under eleven major categories which are as follows: GROMS (AGES 10-13 YRS), JUNIOR MEN (AGES 14-17), MENS1 (AGES 18-25), MENS2 (26-30), AMATEUR WOMEN, OPEN WOMEN WAKEBOARD, AMATEUR WAKESKATE MEN, AMATEUR WAKESKATE WOMEN, OPEN WAKESKATE and PRO MEN WAKEBOARD (Open Men).
Aside from the athlete’s exhibition during the three-day competition which will definitely dish a good dose of electrifying aerial stunts and maneuvers, CWC also boasts of the best party scene for the participants and spectators alike. Awesome party themes and cool music from well-renowned DJ’s are staples of a CWC celebration thus you are assured to have an exciting and eventful weekend from sun-up to sundown.
Through the combined efforts of the Camarines Sur Local Government and the Asian Wakeboard Association, CWC continues to cement its mecca-status for extreme water-sports athletes as well as for tourists looking for novel fun and adventure.
