Boracay is well known for it’s lively nightlife, long stretch of fine white sand beaches and endless water sports activity. When Boracay was named as the Best Beach in The Word in the 80’s, a wide variety of resorts flourished with lightening speed due to the growing popularity and continuously increasing number of tourists visiting the paradise island.
I have visited the island several times and I have stayed in almost all types of accommodations the Island has to offer. I’ve been asked by a lot of people about my preferred place to stay on the island and the only advice I give them is to look for a guesthouse or a hostel because these type of accommodation offer low rates and they are easy to find.
If you visit the island during the off peak season, I suggest you ask the locals for the best affordable accommodation and they will recommend several hostels and guesthouses that will fit your budget. Apart from the price, you should also consider some other factors before you choose your accommodation, make sure its located near the beach front and they have the amenities that you need.
Do you want an affordable Boracay accommodation and yet you want to have an easy access to the Beach from your room? Then I recommend Taj Guesthouse, a guesthouse I discovered last October when I had my Boracay Food Trip. Forget the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and other luxurious amenities – your visiting Boracay to enjoy the beach right?
Taj Guesthouse is perfectly situated at the front end of the famous white beach. The resort has a cozy design and is equipped with the amenities that you need for relaxation and comfort. It is a boutique style guesthouse just few steps away from D’mall – the perfect place if you want to eat, party or fix your pasalubong shopping.
The resort currently has 4 rooms offering standard and deluxe accommodation. All rooms are air-conditioned and have cable television, private bath with hot and cold shower and a mini-ref. Depending on the season, their room rates range from P1,000 to P3,500 and can accommodate two to four persons per room depending on the room type.
