Another long weekend is coming and you can now plan your next out-of-town trip! According to Proclamation NO. 48 signed by President Benigno Aquino III last thursday, October 25 will be a non-working holiday for the local workforce.

It is “imperative that the people be given the fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right t vote,” the Philippine President said in his proclamation. The holiday proclamation was signed last October 6 by Executive Secretary Paquito “Jojo” Ochoa Jr. and the President of the Philippines Benigno S. Aquino III
