Philippine Travel Mart 2013 celebrates the First Philippine Tourism Week

Capping the celebration of this year’s Philippine Tourism Week is the 24th Philippine Travel Mart 2013.  Very opportune,  being preceded by the 1st Philippine Tourism Forum  on 2-3 September at SMX function room, where thorough discussion on ASEAN Integration and standardization of tourism services in the region.

The Philippines is on Sale at the 24th Philippine Travel Mart 2013

Domestic tourism is set to enter the final stretch of revamps as the industry prepares to adopt stricter guidelines come 2015.

The move comes as the country braces for the upcoming ASEAN integration, which will see the implementation of the ASEAN competency Standards for tourism among Southeast Asian countries.

The Philippines is on Sale Part 3, thorough its “SALE ng BAYAN” domestic tours promotional program is one of the major reasons why one should visit the 24th Philippine Travel Mart 2013 on 6-8 September. Again tour packages to major bakasyon destinations like Boracay, Cebu, Banaue, Puerto Galera, Bohol, Davao and more will be offered at much reduced prices. Albay and the whole of Bicol Peninsula and the island provinces of Masbate and Catanduanes are host to some of these tour packages. At a press briefing in Albay, Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) President Cesar Cruz announced PHILTOA that they have already finalized all these tour offerings for the 24th Philippine Travel Mart.

Just like the province of Albay, our country is filled with all kinds of unique experiences that can be developed into world-class tour products,” says PHILTOA President Cesar Cruz, referring to PHILTOA’s venue for officially announcing the first-ever Philippine Tourism Week. “And just like the local government of Albay, PHILTOA is pulling out all stops to ensure that the Philippine private sector is regionally above par when it comes to tourism.”

The 24th Philippine Travel Mart 2013 will showcase over 350 exhibitors with their tour products presented through colorful pavilions and booths. Aside from individual classic destinations such as Bohol, Boracay, and Palawan, the annual Sale ng Bayan will also give discounts on jointly-developed “Philippine Island Fun Caravan Getaways”—a joint group tours that cover various regions from all over the Philippines.
