Palawan supports opening of Puerto Princesa – Kota Kinabalu air route

The provincial government of Palawan has expressed its support to the establishment of Southeast Asian Airlines (SeAir) commercial flights from Puerto Princesa City to Kota Kinabalu.

It also urged concerned national agencies to grant SeAir the required incentives and policy support measures for the sustainability of the said flights.

The provincial government’s support was contained in a legislative measure approved during the provincial board’s regular session held at the Capitol’s legislative building today.

Palawan leaders said they fully support the Puerto Princesa-Kota Kinabalu air route expansion of SeAir. Palawan officials believed the new route will promote air linkages towards enhancement of trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchange between two areas.

Last November 28, the SeAir, one of the country’s registered commercial airline based in Clark Economic Zone in Angeles, Pampanga, started its Puerto Princesa-Kota Kinabalu flight, marking the carrier’s entry into the BIMP-EAGA market.
