Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort Review
Best Beach, Health and Wellness, Hotel Reviews, Philippines — By melo on March 13, 2010 12:22 amAlong with fellow bloggers and writers from Philippine major Dailies, we were invited by Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort (online reservation) to experience their first class facilities and the Cebuano’s unmatched hospitality.
Lack of sleep and Philippine Airlines delayed flight (as usual) can be unforgiving but upon arrival in the resort, everything were pretty much changed. From the welcome kit, yummy white chocolate cookies, warm smiles from the staffs to the welcome “foot and back massage” offered to us, the Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort seeks only to maximize relaxation and create an atmosphere that enhances its organic beauty.
Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference when evaluating a resort. The Beach Resort definitely goes the distance to provide the comforts of home.

Allegro Poolside Breakfast Buffet
Located in Lapu Lapu City on Mactan Island, Maribago Beach Resort has a complete aqua and sports facility and meets your desire for a complete tropical experience with jet skiing, scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling and other recreational and sports facilities like Kiddie Playroom, Childrents Playground, Billiard, Table Tennis, Beach Volleyball court, a life size chess Board and Clay Tennis Court.

Hawaiian Luau Themed Dinner by the Pool
Perhaps the most attractive feature of the resort is the Dolpo Kids Club. Often times with spa type resorts, children are not always a priority, this is not the case here. For only P500 yearly membership, child guests are greeted by a Kids Club Host and given a beach bag full of goodies.
Included is a sports bottle that can be refilled with complimentary beverages at mealtimes, a Dolpo stuffed toy and a coloring book. At the Kids Club Center there are many fun activities available that are educational as well. There are also outdoor beach activities to be involved with too.
For the adventurous and fish loving people, you can join the daily fish feeding activity at the Marine Wildlife Lagoon. The resort has a total of 157 rooms with 5 Royal Bungalows, 12 Premier Deluxe Rooms, 50 Amuma Spa Suites and 91 Deluxe Rooms. We were all billeted in the Amuma Spa Suites right in front of their famous Spa center and fronting their beautiful kids friendly swimming pool. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The air conditiong is so silent and the beds are comfy. Each room is complete with amenities like a cable TV, a mini bar, IDD phone, Shower and Bath Tub, a Veranda and a Coffee and Tea Service. I did appreciate the complimentary bottled water and was delighted to see it replaced every day.
After leaving our things inside our rooms, we had a short tour of the resort to checkout their amenities, in-house restaurants and the types of rooms / villas they have in the resort.
The food was all good as well. We had the buffet breakfast earlier and I was really delighted with so much food choices they have for breakfast. Imagine a great selection of breads as well as an extensive menu selection combining local, continental and american food. It’s really a great way to start your day:)

Danggit, Tocino, Longganisa = Wow
The dinner and cocktail that we had last night is also unforgettable. The pool side restaurant is quite crowded already when we arrived, full of local and foreign guest from all over the world. While enjoying the buffet dinner at Allegro Restaurant, we were entertained by a group of talented singers right after the hawaiian dance performed by a local dance group.
Last night, the resort had a Hawaiian Luau theme party and we all found them quite entertaining specially the Bonfire and the fire dance show in the beach cove near the Oyster Bar where we had our first Cocktail Chill-out to cap the night.

Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort
I’ll be staying in the resort till tonight since we will be leaving for our Cebu Visita Iglesia activity and will stay overnight in Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort tommorow night. So far, I can say that I enjoyed my stay at the resort immensely. Goodnight Everyone:)
