Beyond the Box, the newest and most innovative Apple Premium Reseller in the Philippines is introducing another milestone in the local retail community space by implementing extended shopping hours for their store in One Rockwell. During the whole summer season starting on March 2 of this year (2012). Beyond the Box at One Rockwell will be open for 24 hours during Friday and Saturday. For the rest of the week (Monday to Thursday), Beyond the Box at One Rockwell will be open from 11:00 am to 12:00 midnight.

Recently, he launched a new Sofa designed called Cabaret Sofa. This new collection by Kenneth Cobonpue is made of a weaving fabric-wrapped foam on a beautifully structured steal frame.

This collection is ideal for both indoor an outdoor living with a design that will easily match your taste. Although when it comes to furniture, I always think that black, white and gray will always be the safe color however I learned that there’s a way to make sure that your sofa color is matching with your hotel interior colors.

The new sofa design feature a woven-style seating complemented by a stitched detailing work. The low back armchair measures 73cm in depth, 71.5cm in width, and 64cm in height. The high back chair measures 78cm, 81cm, and 100cm in depth, width, and height respectively. The sofa has dimensions of 78cm in depth, 214cm in width, and 100cm in height.

I’ll be visiting the Queen City of the South tomorrow and while browsing my old photos of Cebu, I saw some photos I took during our visit in Kenneth Cobonpue’s showroom. If you are not yet familiar with the name Kenneth Cobonpue, he is a renowned and award winning Industrial designer from the Philippines and his works are currently being used by worlds best hotels, restaurants and resorts around the world.

World Class Furnitures from Cebu

Kenneth Cobonpue is one of the best in the industrial design business famous for his signature furniture designs in natural fibers. Using abaca, rattan, buri and bamboo, Kenneth successfully came up with never-been-seen before designs for furniture, which eventually became the most demanded furniture brand in the world.

The coolest fact is that although you might think these marvelous pieces of awesome art will have an unaffordable price tag, you’d be surprised at the truth. Some of his designs are priced like any other exported furniture, with reasonable price tags.

But there are some works which deserves a big price tag. Visiting the Kenneth Cobonpue strictly requires an appointment, and the company is quite selective with clients. Ultimately, it’s up to them to let you in for a visit, unless you are a VIP. If you are lucky, you may even get to take a peek at the production area.

Divisoria is a shopping district that can be found in Manila. This bargain shopping Mecca is considered the shopping capital for wholesalers and regular shoppers in the country. Historically speaking, Divisoria is the birthplace of the revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio and the first ever filipino Saint Lorenzo Ruiz.

Old Oriente Street near Divisoria – the location of the defunct Hotel de Oriente in Binondo few blocks from Divisoria. This two-story building had 83 rooms and is believed to be the first hotel in the Philippines.

How To Get To Divisoria?

For public commuters, Divisoria is accessible by taking the MRT or LRT-2 purple lane traversing Recto Avenue and getting off at the last station, Recto. You can also take jeepneys and FXs from Taft Avenue, España and Cubao which ply the Divisoria route. Due to high volume of vehicles, most taxi drivers are refusing to bring passengers to this area. Dry Pod by Go Travel

I’ve gotta tell you that when I go out for an island hopping or even when Im going to an outdoor trip, I tend to leave my iPod at home so that I don’t ruin it by getting it wet. Even with a regular cover or a plastic lined case, I have still always felt like my iPod was exposed to too much danger. But, that was before I got the Dry Pod by Go Travel.

With this handy little dealio with a funky fresh style and more than a little bit of protection, I can take my tunes with me just about anywhere I want to go.

The waterproof container is good down to depths of three meters, so actually, I can even take it snorkeling with me! Never mind about the rain. The great thing about the Dry Pod is that it makes sure that my iPod stays safe and dry and just in case I want to have it close to me, it comes with an adjustable neck strap too. There are so many important things that you need to secure when you travel, just like visitor insurance USA, you also have to secure your things to avoid damages to your gadgets.
